[8D]I've had a pheasant call for years, and every now and again, I can get a rooster to talk back! No too indifferent than a quail call!
However, its been minimal talking with them. I don't have itdown to an art, but, I have had roosters talk back.
I also use a chukar and quail call!
Back when I got mine, it was less than $10, andit may have even been givento me as a gift?
I recommend getting one, keep it in your vest, if you ever hear roosters cackling in the distance, give it hoot! You never know what may occurr!

The pheasant call is for locating roosters and also to help flush them out. You can imitate the call of a content rooster or sound like a rooster flushing from cover that sometimes will trigger others to flush also.
