Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

I called in this jake in PA on friday morning. Jake was with another jake and a hen. I knocked him over where he stood at 35 yds using Winchester Extended range 3" #5. The bird weighed 15 lbs and had a 5" beard and 1/2" spurs.

Ithacca Mod 37 Turkeystorm, extended turkey choke, 12ga
Bushnell 1x28 Trophy red dot scope
Winc. Extended Range 12ga 3" #5 ammo

Good work Bowtech

Whereabouts in PA do you hunt? I got one in SW PA, but the mature birds around here seem like they're henned up pretty good still. Any thoughts?

We are in Susquehanna County, just outside Montrose. We were there Wed thru Sat and the birds were real quite. As the week went on they strted to gobble a little bit more. Sat morning they were noise but we couldn't call any longbeards in just a few jakes that we let go. I always believe that most of the breeding is done by the time the season starts which you think would make the gobblers more active in search of a hot hen , who the heck knows........... just keep put time in the woods and one never knows what might happen.

Congrats! Nice bird! Thanks for the photo, too.

Love that username! Next time you'll have to go after the birds with your BowTech!

Congrats... I got my first one this season too.
I posted my points and stats. Here's a picture of the #1 bird this year in California. I can't believe my beginners luck.
