Finished up in Missouri with a pretty good bird
I finished my season up this weekend by tagging out in Missouri. The bid was 22.8 lbs with a 9.75 inch beard and had 1.06 spurs. He scored 63.2. Not as good as my first bird of the year but not a bad bird either. I had a good season. I killed 4 and called up two more for other guys. One of the two that I called up was actually a double. I called in a pair of jakes last weekend for a buddy and myself and they both wound up being double bearded jakes. My bird had a 6.75 in beard and a 2.25 inch beard and he weighed 14.8 lbs and had .5 inch spurs. That bird scored 42.5. That was my first MO bird of the year. My second bird in Arkansas was a dink but I didn't do any good on my permit hunt and I was ready to tag out and get on up to Missouri. The second Arkansas bird was a jake with a 4.75 inch beard and he weighed 13.5 lbs and had .375 in spurs. He scored 30.5. Not a bad season.
