Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default A patterened tom

I have not been out hunting for a few days because of a sore leg.
I talked to the neibor next to me (Sun 9:30 AM) , he said every morning at 10:30 to 11:00 two tom would come out and strut on the end of the lane next to my woods.
He dosn't turkey hunt so he told me to have fun.
At Drove down close and walked to where I thought would be a likely spot now 9:50.
Never got a chance to look around.
At 10:15 tom 1 walked out of the woods 100 yds down ,could just see his head over a low rise.
I was thinking about crawling out into the feild to place a decoy when I heard the second walking thru the woods nere me .
It walked right by the tree I was leaning on.
When I snaped the safty off ,he stoped for a second .
I took part of his head off , range was 12 - 15 feet.
Not a real test for my Hevi shot reloads.

Thats the closest I have ever shot a bird .
Never even pulled out a call.
Total time from leaving the house 30 min.
Only 200 yd walk from the truck.

I wish every turkey hunt was this easy.
