Default NC trip so far has been a success

Well the first morning the three of us parted ways, Youngbuck76 and Edward Owens going ot one spot and myself going to another. I set up up pretty early. I put a Jake and Hen decoy out in front of me. I didn't hear anything but the normal sounds of a spring morning. I waited for quite awhile and at 0640 I heard him gobble. I did my unique series of calls and he cut me off double gobbling a few times. I heard him spit and drum just in the woods. I turned and watched right where I had heard that. He popped up like a jack in the box out ditch that was long the woods and onto a tractor path. He looked right at the jake decoy and I shot. I walked over hoisted him to my shoulder adn headed for the truck. I looked at the time it was 0650. 20lbs 10.5" beard and 1" spurs. I was met there not too long after i got back to my truck by youngbuck adn Ed who both had connected on Gobblers in the morning.
