i hunt turkeys with a .22 mag. it works good! i have shot 3 birds with it. this year i am trying my bow. i am concerned about this, but not a .22 mag. as for a .22lr i would not use it, just not enough power! just my 2 cents.

I dont think it is legal here in Georgia. As far as a 22LR getting the job done.....its all about shot placement with any animal.....but a bigger caliber would give you a little more room to work with.......a shot to the head with a 22LR will bring down most anything....maybe with the exception of the real big game animals

Rifles and turkey hunting don't mix, IMO.

The projectile has the potential of traveling way beyond the hunter's field of vision, in a line that endangers anyone in that direction sitting or standing on the ground.
