Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

I want to say that my heart goes out to you Pat Ely, a loss like that is really hard to take, and though I do not have children, I know it is something that is very hard to go through.
Your spirituality is strong and hope that the memory of your son lives long and strong in your mind with it.
Our hearts are with you sir
Thank you for being with us!!

Pat,

I don't know how I ever missed that story before. I read it with a sad heart but at the same time my body all but shook in anticipation. I want to thank you as well for sharing that story with us. Amen, Pat, Amen.

Pat, To be honest I am not sure what to say. I have a 10month old boy, that when that time comes I will be teaching him the outdoors and your story was great to me. I for some reason could not see the picture but with your words saw every detail of the hunt, the bird all of it. Thanks for sharing that. Though I do not know the feeling of loss like your wife or yourself have experiance and pray it may never happen, I am deeply sorry for what you both have been through.

I don't know how I ever missed that story either, but you certainly didn't offend me! Thanks for sharing your heart with us. One problem...I can't see the pic, just that darn red X.

Same thing with the X here. Pat that is a touching story I remember it from last year. I have a 10 yr old (which gets to go on his first turk hunt this year) and a 8 yr old, I couldnt imagine loosing either one of them. Sorry man!
