Would you shoot a bearded hen?
 

I was curious, How many of you would shoot a bearded hen? I have one with about a 6" beard or so running around by me.

Not in the spring, fall would be fair game for me though

I wouldn't in the spring season even though they're legal. The hens need a chance to hatch their clutch.

Taking a bearded hen is not going to hurt the turkey population. So yes I would take one if givin the chance:)

A bearded hen would make a awsome trophy:)

No I wouldn't. Like others have said, I don't have anything against it I just don't think I would do it.

I would....I've taken hens in the fall before, so I wouldn't think twice about shooting a bearded hen in the spring.

I quess I should clarify. I wouldn't shoot one in the spring because it would mean I couldn't take but one Tom. I would shoot one in the fall as well as any other hen I get a shot at.
