I usually use calls of my own making and I've tried others. But, I got a chance to trade calls with JW, so I got to try one of his. The one he made for me is as easy to yelp on as any I've used.

Tell your brother they are guaranteed!
That is if he is having trouble he can sand the end of the call to try to make it easier. Not much either - add a sharp edge or round it off. He doesn't wanna try that send it back and I'll send another......I am sure I can find one that will fit him....

i got one of JW's calls........i almost gave it up because i was sucking too much air in and i was getting a belly ache after using it, so he told me soft kisses, it works, less air and it sounds alot better,i actually took it out and called with it the other day...if you see some weirdo woman driving down the highway with a wingbone attched to her mouth, just ignore her,lol........
