Default Cutt and run???

I am new to turkey hunting and was wondering if this method works. Every year i never see asy turkeys cause i plop down to where I thnk they will be. Is it a good method to just walk and try to locate with a call and then get as close as possible to call in? Is that also considered stalking or dangerous to walk and call to laocate? Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

That is how the hunters on the tv hunting shows do it and it seems to work for them.

I am like you I just go to where I think they are and start calling.
Last year I had some come in close but they saw me and I made
A mistake of going Putt Putt Putt.
Then they split lol.

So walking and useing a locator call and then if & when you hear
A gobbler start setting up real fast and calling him in probbly
Will work just fine.

Good Luck
