Default nitro loads?

i have read numerous posts about how fantastic these rounds pattern and how many hits guys are getting in a specific cirlce. seeing that the vast majority of pellets in their 4x5x7 are #7's, doesn't this reduce the killing range of this shell?

The heavishot that Nitro uses is heavier than lead. Therefore, smaller shot carry more down range energy. If yo go to their website they have some very good information in that regard.

#7 hevishot, hits almost as hard as a #5 lead pellet. 1/2 the shell is made up of #7 shot, 1/4 is #5's and the other 1/4 is #4's. The #7 shot fills in the holes, if any, in the pattern. I wouldn't worry about the hitting power of those #7's!!

......because they're AWESOME! Winchester 3.5" 2oz 6 shot at 40yards I put 109 in a 12" circle through a Rhino tube. Nitro 3.5" 4x5x7 shot ? oz 279 in 12" circle at 40 yards through same Rhino tube. Sorry I can't tell why, all I know is that the numbers for my gun made me a believer

Find and shoot one and you'll see why Ray can get by with charging so much! Plus, they are all individually hand loaded.

I fell victim to the rhino/nitro combination yesterday. I ordered them and they will be worth every penny if they do as well as everyone says they do. I have not read a bad report about them yet besides they are expensive.

If you are worried about the 7's being to small, have Ray to load you a few 5's or 6's, I have been using his Hevi-shot #5's the last couple of years and they are awesome. I just patterened my BPS a couple of weeks ago, At 46 yards I had 240 pellets in a 12"X19" turkey target and they were straight #5 shot. Nitro and Rhino has something figured out that no one else has when it comes to a great pattern IMO.

Best Loads You Can Buy Period. Just got a Browning Gold 10 ga and patterned with 3 1/2" Nitro 4x5x7, 2 1/4 oz 260 pellets 11x11 turkey sheet with 35 pellets IN VITALS OF HEAD AND NECK. 20 and 30 yds completely destroys the head and neck with no possible way to count the number of pellets. This is with a .720 Rhino Choke. If there's a better combination out there, I haven't heard of it.

Best $200 spent on Turkey Hunting.
