RE: .655 Too tight?

I just put a new mossberg 500 X factor (Made by Mossberg) XX full choke tube on mine this weekend. This has a .670 constriction and shoots a great pattern. I was shooting the
new federal #5's with flite control wads. I averaged 125 pellets in a ten inch square at 40 yards. Avg 25 in the vitals.

The .655 is a lot tighter than I'd want to go. Like the rest said .665 would be about as tight of as I'd want to go. I found the best(for my Mossberg) still with less restriction though.

I'll betcha dollars to donuts that the .665 with #6 Hevishot will be a real thumper, (be my #1 choice for that rig)

JollyArcher, I would check the recommdations on Nitro Hevi-Shot and Kicks chokes.

With my Mossberg 835 having a 24 inch barrel would I be better off with the .655?? I was debating on whether to get a Comp-n-Choke.

Wasn't planning on using Hevi-Shot, just lead or the new Win. and Fed.
