Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

ttt means to the top. just to bring the thread up to the top of the page...

I'll be using my Remington 870 Express with my nice new camo stock and R3 recoil pad. 28" barrel, star dot choke most likely. Maybe my BowTech Extreme VFT if I have the opportunity to take more than 1 bird.

I am going to try to gig one with my partner, Bldhound of Team 1, using his Bowtech and Rocket Hammerhead 4L. We are going to try to get some video footage of the hunt using our calls to lure 'em in. I see Wayne1 has been shamelessly pluggin' our calls. Hopefully I can call the BIG tom that I saw yesterday in to bow range on April 15th. I've got my favorite glass over slate call conditioned and ready to go.

I'll be taking bird numero uno with my Westernfield .12 gauge, but hopefully I'll get out with my bow for the second bird. I won't be entering my bird until the end of the contest though, just in case the second one turns out to be larger.

Default Cool Story

Hey guys, thought I would share a story with yall. A buddy of mine was watching some toms fight in his front yard yesterday morning and the smaller one ended up killing the bigger one. The killing blow was spurs to the head! Wow. Neat story, but that is one less tom that I can kill seeming how that is by one of my spots.

Chompin at the bit here. The call companies are getting rich off of my anticipation of April 28. Checked out some new land I have permission to hunt on. I found some major deer poopage (have to do the permission thing for this fall, looks like a great spot for bowhunting deer.) Saw some turkey sign, but not much. Hopefully the area will produce for me though.
