Here in wisconsin you can hunt until 5:00p.m.
Afternoon hunts can be great if you find a bird that will work.

Here in Oregon we have always been able to hunt all day. For me, it's good because I normally drive 4-5 hours to my hunting area. I do not think it bothers hens on the nest either.

WELL IN ALABAMA YOU CAN ONLY HUNT SPRING TURKEY'S ON WMA LAND TILL 12:00 NOON.
THEN YOU CAN GO GET SOMETHING TOO EAT AND GO TO NATIONAL FOREST LAND TO HUNT TILL DARK.

Mike, I think your state has the right idea.I don't think hunters disturb nesting hens all that much.Only problem with Pa. is they are still in the dark ages.Hell we don't have Sunday huntin here because of a 300yr old law still on the books.

Mike and Jim, both very good points!!! I don't think we'll see any spring turkey hunting past noon here in NY for quite a while either. Many sportsman vote it down!! I'm kind of in the middle on this myself!! I don't have a problem with only hunting till noon, but again, I know how it is about a hour before dusk from putting them to bed!! You can do very nicely at this time frame as well too!! Tuff call either way!!
