Most Comfortable Boots
 

I walk alot turkey hunting, many times crossing streams. Has anyone found boots cooler and/or more comfortable than LaCrosse Burley Rubber Boots. Thinking about getting some Muck Boots, but afraid they will be too hot. Please highlight your favorite Turkey Boot for waterproof comfort.

I wear a similar boot as you. 16" Redhead muck boot. I find them pretty comfortable and I do a lot of walking while turkey hunting.

The only boot I have ever worn during spring turkey season is the LaCrosse Burly. They are very comfortable and I do plenty of walking when it's necessary. They can get a little hot if things warm up but not to the point of being terribly uncomfortable. It's worth it to me to be able to wade across streams and not get my feet wet.

If you want rubber boots, check the LaCross Alpha series, they are like wearing tennis shoes.

I bought a pair of Danner "pronghorns" I believe. They are extremely comfortable. Goretex and very little insulation, they should fit your needs.

I know a lot of people would overlook them, however I have a pair of all leather Nike Air ACG boots that are incredibly light, waterproof, and the most comfortable boot I have ever used for warm weather hunting. They were $120 new and now have about 7 season on them and they are still in incredible shape. If I have to wade water higher than the boots, I simply get wet, doesn't bother me much and I carry extra socks in my pack for minor wet spots. They are much lighter than any other boots though which means a lot to me when I put a few miles on in a day listening for active toms and the air sole I feel makes them comfortable as well in long hikes.

I'm like you and love the LaCrosse line of rubber knee high boots. They also make a pair called the "Grange". This is their Non-insulated version, and I wear these during the very warm days of the season!! The grass still has dew in the early mornings, and that's where the LaCrosse knee high boots shine, keeping your pant legs from getting soaked!!;)

I own Russells as I do a lot of dog judging. If I am walking and don't have much swamp conditions that is what I wear.

I also own a pair of Camo Redhead Bone dry rubber boots similar to LaCrosse Burly. I almost bought the Burly boots but they are hard for me to get on and even harder coming off!

I have walked many miles in my Redheads and have them plain worn out. I not only unse them for turkey hunting but also all wet upland days out in the field with my dogs.

Bought them at Bass Pro.

I've been wearing Rocky Bruin's in dry conditions and Lacrosse burley's in wet conditions!Find both boots in those conditions work excellent!!:)
