This past weekend I bought a PRIMOS Jellyhead. The weather turned bad around here so I wasn't able to get out to the range last weekend. I am going on Saturday and I will let you know how it turns out.

I will be patterning my 870 with the PRIMOS Jellyhead and I am going to try the Remington Heavy-Shot in 3" #4 and also Winchester lead in 3" #4.

I haven't tried that many loads, but using the regular remington xtra full and winchester supreme turkey loads #5, I got real nice patterns centered nicely to POA.

Popere, I hope you get better results with the Remington Hevishot than I did out of that choke. It was acceptable with #5's at 40 yds., but not really as good as I had hoped. Now with Nitro's Hevishot, it was some kind of awesome at 40 and 50 yds.

The 870 also worked very well for me with the Undertaker choke and #5's in Winchester HighVelcocity loads. That combo killed a bunch of turkeys for me the past few years.

Used a 870 SPS-T last season and took 8 gobblers in 4 states. Used a MAD SuperMax and Nitro 4x5x7 HeviShot. As I've previously posted, everyone should check out www.nitrocompany.com and read under "Proper Test Patterning." This will shed some light on the energy needed to kill a turkey. Patters are only half of the equation. Your shot must travel at a velocity great enough to produce the energy required for penetration and a clean kill.

Just got a Browning Gold 10ga in the new Duratouch finish. Ordered a Rhino and Nitro Ammo for it. Will post results in a couple of weeks.

I have an 870 with a 26 inch barrel and I use the factory Super Full Turkey Choke. I shoot regular Remington High Velocity #5's out of it and it patterns VERY well. I have never had a turkey leave after I pulled the trigger. If youc an sweet talk em and get em to <40 yards, a head shot with a 410 will kill em. I know people are big on Hevay SHot and Nitro loads, but regular shells are MUCH cheaper and kill just as well. You don't need penetration if you shoot em in the head.

stumpybarnes I agree with you. I kill a turkey every year with my 20 gauge with lead. I laugh at all these people spending 90 bucks on a choke and expensive nitro loads.
