I plan on trying a custom slate or glass friction call this year. Can anyone give me suggetions on whats worked for them?

I have 2 I can always count on...One is made by Steve at Supreme Turkey calls, the other by Andy Kaiser.

I have pile of others.

Kiaser calls and you will be soooooo happy!

Don't why I didn't buy one of his before!

Just search using Kiaser and his web-page will come up.

I have an Osage Orange slate over glass made by Harrison Game Calls. It looks and sounds great!

I agree with MTT!!I have one of Steves Osage's also and it produces some fine turkey talk!!

Another good one is made by George Quay of Thundergut Custom Turkey calls.
You can contact him at totalsportsman.com. He also makes custom Crow calls, and here's a pic of the one he made me last year.

Try one of the Woodhaven custom crystal or slate's. They are great calls with awesome craftsmanship.

I've got a call made by Andy Kaiser too. Double sided, slate one side glass on the other. Very nice sound, beautiful work too.

I'm really partial to aluminum and slate calls - anybody have a two-sided, alum. & slate Kaiser? Wonder how it would sound???
