RE: primos jellyhead
270 the Nitro/Rhino setup is considerably better. But if you either already have a JellyHead or are just deadset on it then go with the lighter HeviShot loads.
We have done ALOT of testing with HeviShot over the years (before we picked up Nitro last season) and almost too the gun all our tests revealed that you can constrict HeviShot to much and that you will get higher pellets in a 20" circle with the lighter loads of Hevi-Shot. If I remember correctly (which I seldom do!) the 3.5" 12 loads of HeviShot are available in 1 5/8oz and 1 3/4oz versions. We always got better results with the lighter load and likewise with 3 and even 2 3/4" guns. If you push to much HeviShot (not Nitros, they are coated and buffered differently than Rem HeviShot) down a very restrictive tube it will doughnut ring on you. In all honesty most 3" HeviShot loads will pattern better from a 3.5" gun than using 3.5s in them. Its just the quirks of HeviShot.
With all that said its STILL better than even the finest Winchester Supreme Lead loads that I used to swear by!
