Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

This is all coming off the top of my head, so the measurements aren't exact...

I made a 24" (w) x 12" (h) shield. Then, I took two, 10" lengths of 1" square dowel rod, and made seven, equally spaced notches in the back of it. Notches are cut about 1/2" deep, and 3/8" wide. I then mounted one dowel on each side of the shield. The beard glue nicely into the wood, and don't look sloppy at all. I've made a few of them for my friends.

I'll take a picture and post it. Someone could probably make quite a few bucks selling these things.

If the rustic look is what you were looking for than you found it Those are some nice looking sets of spurs and beards you've got hanging. I really like to top left set of spurs. Is that set the way he was sporting them? I see there red on the bone part, what is it? Thanks for sharing your ideas

you'll notice several sets of pinkish spurs. all were taken within a 5 sq mile area over the course of 3 seasons. i do alot of turkey hunting, and i'm lucky enough to have some good spots. i've got some more shoeboxed, and i'm gonna try one of you guys's (nice english, eh?) methods to display em. thanks!!!

Maytom

Those displays are spectacular! If you'd ever be interested in making/selling some of those, I could get you quite a few orders (myself included).

Sorry to hear about the big "D." I work in a law office, so I see those messes first hand. Women are spiteful sometimes. It takes a while to sort things out.

I would be interested in buying one or two display boards also.

Well, once you get your shop going again I'm interest in talking to you more about your dispays There looking nicer than what I remember. Things are going to be getting tight here at our home soon, not because of the Big "D" but because of the Big "B" You're not going to believe this but she's due April 28th! What piss poor planning on my half Bad Tom! very, very bad! Truth is I'll gladly sit one season out for this. Take care and see you around
