Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Any clever ways to carry your dekes?

Like a lot of you guys I think carrying decoys is a pain in the @ss. And since I haven't be able to spend the money on a cool turkey vest, I was wondering...have any of you guys came up with a clever way to carry your decoys? I have been carrying them in my daypack...but I could sure use the room for other stuff. I'd love to hear what you guys came up with.

I zip my jacket up about half way, and then fold them in half and tuck them right in,then zip it up when I am in a hurry or on the move. Make sure that you tuck them away as not to be seen. You don't want to take any shots to the chest. If you have hard bodies, you are just S.O.L., no quiet or easy way to carry them. I think hard body decoys are just about obsolete now anyway.

In the Midwest catalog they sell a decoy shoulder bag put out by AW. I have the biggest bag they make for my three Carry-Lite decoys. This bag also has a pocket for the stakes as well!! I believe it goes for $24.95. Best way that I have found to carry them!! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I have a H.S. lightweight seat. I use small bungee cord and attach them to the bottom of the seat. They are the collapsable feather-flex decoys.

If you're spending money on other things, go ahead and spend it on a good vest. It's the only real good way and it'll be invaluable even after you wear the decoys out.

I bought a H.S. vest for $30. It is invaluable, I carry all my calls, shells, decoys, and anything else I decide to take along.
