What is the best brand for an owl hooter out there? I've bought 2, and neither seem very loud or realistic. Any recommendations?

Most owl hooters will produce a sound that will bring a gobble under the right circumstances. The Quaker Boy reed style hooter is a little high pitched and I like it because the sound seems to travle farther and also will bring a gobble when a deeper hooter won't.

I have a Primos hoot flute and I think it sounds realistic.

The Palmer Hoot Tube by Hunters Specialties is one of the best there is. After all it has won Grand Nationals the past 2 years in a row.

I have the canister type made by H.S. Strut,it is not real loud but the turkeys sure seem to like it.

PRACTICE USING YOUR OWN VOICE. THAT IS ALL I HAVE EVER USED, AND
THE TURKEYS RESPOND TO IT. GO TO THE WOODS AND PRACTICE AND WHEN THE
OWLS ANSWER BACK AND START COMING TO YOU THEN YOU CAN THROW ALL
THOSE CALLS YOU HAVE BOUGHT AWAY.
AND JUST THINK ABOUT IT ONE LESS THING YOU HAVE TO CARRY TO THE
WOODS!!

I like the Primos Power Owl. It can produce the Barred owl and also you can laugh on it pretty good too.

I agree with SANDGAP, I use my own voice I can hoot louder than most of the owl hooter calls.
