You better believe it. It's the best way to do it. We stay right in the woods we hunt (well, a short walk from them anyway) and since you're so close you don't have to get up quite as early either. Sitting around the fire at night discussing the day's events with your buddy are just about the most relaxing way to go about it. Being out in God's great outdoors is good for the soul.

funny you should ask this question. i spent about a half hour on the phone today talking with the pa game commision and army corps of engineers trying to find out their policies on camping. their policy i come to find out is NO CAMPING, period. me and a few buddies were going to camp right at our hunting area. well it looks like we are going to have to play dumb if we get caught. ive seen people camped there before so what the heck, im a tax payer and own part of the state land <img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle> will be fun to be in touch with nature. who knows we may even get to put a few gobblers to bed.

Yeah, I camp out all the time. Last turkey season I camped out a total of 33 days. I'm planning on doing about 3 weeks this season. Really enjoy sitting around a camp fire and cooking out. It's a lot fun going over the days events and discussing tactis and strategies for the next days hunt.
