cant tell you for sure about turkey but a hunting buddy of mine uses his to get to the top of the mountain where his deer stand is. he rides up old logging roads and parks his quad and then walks to his stand about 200 yds away. he shoots a deer every year. i would be interested to know if they spook turkey as well because i just bought a new yamaha grizzly i hope to use this coming hunting season. i would think as long as you dont ride right up to them you would be fine. the only problem i could see is that yes you could cover ALOT of ground with one but how you going to hear them turkeys gobble over the sound of a quad? just a thought.

I would think it would be like a loud truck.you will hear more birds if you walk or use a bicycle.

ive drove up on them on a atv. but during turkey season atv's are forbidden. deer dont seem to get as screwed up by them as turkeys. two years ago we rode them they stopped gobbling and wouldnt respond to any calls. we just dont ride them while we hunt turkeys.

thanks guys, but how in the hell would you go hunting on a bike? first the gun should be safely stored while your moving then all ur equipment. then if you get a turkey then you have to carry a turkey on a bike? whatever, i can hardly carry a 24 pack of mt dew on mine.

Like some of the guys mentioned. If you're drivin especially with a helmet on you just won't be able to hear.In my opinion hearin is my #1 tool for findin a bird in the spring. When hunting any animal you should try to blend in with the land as best as you can.Try not to let the game know there is even a human around.
