Well guys and gals our worst nightmare has come true. I was shot in the head at 30 yards by my huntin buddy I am blind in the left eye and i have had 2 surgries to try and save it !!! Not very good news !! I have over a hundered pellets and fragments in my face neck and chest !! I had to walk a mile out of the swamp bottom and had to be air lifted to the trauma med center in memphis!!! ****ty way to spend my last couple of weeks !! Been tolld by several specialist i am lucky to be alive!! I have a great support group across the country and i appreciate all your thoughts and prayers This is the first time i have been able to sit up in front of the computer!! The pain meds have me very confused!!!!! Hope to be able to read your responses with both eyes in a few weeks. Only 1 in 10 nchance of that!!

That sucks!! Man I am sorry to hear that. I feel really bad for you, and also for your buddy. He has to be feeling pretty low too. I hope things work out with your surgery.

Wow Mike that's a sad thing to have to go thru. Are you still friends with that hunting buddy? That must be awful for him too - I don't think I would ever pick up a gun again if that happened to me.
Well, Thank God you are still here! Make sure you tell the world what happened so that others may hear of this unfortunate accident and learn from it.

Man I don't know what to say. At first as I was reading I just knew you were going to say that you were just kidding and for every one to be safe. Man that has got to be every turkey hunters worse night mare. Man I am really sorry to hear this. I will pray for ya buddy and I hope that you get all or some of your eye sight back in that eye[]

I just hope that you'll still be able to enjoy spring turkey hunting after this!!!
