You won't make the mistake of posting a pic again Knockem; or the mistake of counting snood, beak, and wattles as vitals???
Boy, i would sure like to see an example of what 80 hits to the vitals looks like. My Winnie can do the same...at 18 yards that is.

Like BT already mentioned, trying a different brand of shell might do the trick. If you still want to shoot those 3 1/2" shells, check those new Winchester 2oz High Velocity loads out. They smoke out the barrel at 1,300fps!!! This may shoot a better pattern than the 2 1/4oz slower 3 1/2" loads. That's the "homework" that we all go through trying to find the perfect choke/load/gun combination!!! By the way, thanks for showing the picture of your pattern. I also like the fact that you have your gun scoped as well!! This will go a long way in getting your pattern shooting where you want it!! I also know what your talking about as far as the recoil of that gun!! I'd wait a few days before doing the pattern testing again, or your going to develope one heck of a flinch!! As a matter of fact, check in the new Midwest catalog for the new Tru-Glo recoil pads!! They make one for the Mossberg 835, and claim that it reduces the recoil by a whopping 50%!!!!! This just may be what the doctor orderd for you 835 shooters!! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
