Default Beard Question?????

I shot my first bird on friday, it was 24 pounds and had 1.25" spurs. The beard i am not sure about. It was a very thick beard up to 4" and then there is only about 10-15 strands that are 10.5". My guess is that it probably froze off in the winter. Should i count this beard as 10.5" long or 4" long? Thanks.

why would you even consider measuring the short ones?! if you have any doubt, make it sound better, its a better story to tell that way

You measure to the longest point ,so if you only have 1 hair 10 1/2" long then that is how long your beard is. A 24pounder is one heck of a good bird congrat's and good hunting.
