all the ones I have tried are not loud enough for me. I use my own mouth, and it seems to work OK.
my wife says I have a big mouth anyway.
I am not a hunter I am a whitetail population reduction specialest
remember keep your back to the sun, your knife sharp, and your powder dry.

The Palmer hoot tube is the best I've ever used. I have one several Owl Hooting contests useing it. The plastic version is a little louder but they both work in the woods very well. Its also a little cheeper.

I've been usung my own voice with pretty good results for years. However, I tried the Primos Camp Owl the other day and was very pleased with it. You have to blow VERY hard, but it will give you pretty good results. Also, I am able to get some sounds that I can't do with my voice. It is not as loud as I would like, but you can't have everything. I have no experience with the Palmer's tube.
