A Thermacell is an instrument for repelling mosquitos.
Dog, I just got one but haven't used it yet. Where do you put it when turkey hunting. Is there a chance it will catch the leaves on fire?

Hawgnman,

I sent you an email about where I place the thermacell, but just in case you didn't get it. I put a nylon string thru the grill so that I can hang it around my neck, and I let it hang down on my side. It doesn't get hot enough to burn you, leaves, dashboard of your vehicle (I lay mine there alot waiting til it gets close to daylight) with windows down. I also use it in my boat when river fishing, and I use it during archery (deer) season. It doesn't seem to bother the deer. I sometimes carry it in my pants side pockets and light it when I get where I'm going.

Just remember, place it on your upwind side if there wind. If you was to have a real strong wind it won't do any good, of course you usually don't need it then anyway.

Hope this helps.
