Got my first gobbler yesterday!!
I set up on the point of a fork in the road at 5:20 am. once the sun came up and the turkeys flew down from their roosts I could hear gobbles. about 5 hours later, after seeing tons of turkeys headed in the opposite direction, a group of 5 hens and 2 gobblers came down, I waited until they were close and singled out the dominant one, I put my TruGlo bead on him and shot him! My first turkey! it was 16.5 pounds with a 9 and a half inch beard and spurs that were 1 and a 1/4 inch long.It was an Oceola turkey, my gun was a 20 gauge NEF 3" magnum with 3" hevi shot shells. I am so pumped.

congrats. on the first,the rest will be a pieace of cake.I have yet to take one.broke my right wrist and arm,(shooting Hand).
guess I will have to wait a week or two.
