RE: mossberg 835
I bought an 835 about 3 or 4 years ago. It also came with a selection of chokes. The extra full "turkey choke" was terrible! When I went out and pattrerned it the extra full choke had fliers all over the place even at 25 yards. I dropped back to the regular full choke and it brought the pattern right back where it should be and held it there out to fourty yards. (I wouldn't recomend you shoot at a turkey thats farther away than this.)Each gun is different as to what choke, make of shells and shot size it likes. My particular gun shoots federal 3inch #6's with the normal full choke very well. Your gun may not. Try different makes of shells, different sizes of shot and different chokes untill you find the combination your gun likes best.
