Yes big dog I do hunt in Florida and so do many others. Huntnma and Ryan T. already got birds and posted on this board. I know of another person on Duckboats.net that got a monster at Bull Creek just this week 19 lbs or better. If you want to see his bird, go to the site and click on the forum. It's a revolving site so time is criticle. The post get deleted as new ones come on.

I hunt in the extreme southern tip of Florida way down by Aligator alley. Below Napels on the west coast and Ft. Lauderdale on the east cost. Meet a hunter today that's been hunting Goodwin with no luck. Said the only one bird to date from that location since March 6th.


Don't worry, Florida hunting is out there and so are we. Hee heeeeeeee.

went last weekend to Osceola wma and got some gobbles but couldn't call them in. I am going back in the morning to try my luck again.

yea. kevin,I also hunt Fla. broke my arm and wrist so I'm out of it for a while. the wife is doing the shooting and I am doing the veidoing.
We are goiing tomorrow morning for the second day.

only heard two while scouting,they only gobbled one time each.

hope they do better in the morning.

Guys,

I'm a school teacher in NY, so I can't get down to Florida til April 12 (spring break). What breeding stage will the birds be in? Any ideas?

i would say they are still hot , but heading towards not being henned up all of the time....but you can never know with these lil boogers down here..if you have a chance to come here and hunt, do it....:D

Back a few years ago , we hit Central FL on the last week , killed 4 Birds in 2 days. No problem with the end of the season at all...BT
