Ok yall,
What scope and mounts do yall use?
Are your mounts, the drilled and tapped style or the wrap around and use the pin/screw through the trigger group style??

I use a Leupold Vari-X II 1x4 shotgun scope. My Remington 870 is drilled and tapped and I use a Weaver 1 pc. base with Burris Zee rings.

I use the very same scope as MOTT. My Winchester 1300's reciever comes drilled and tapped from the factory. I ended up using a Tasco shotgun mount, I don't know if they even still make this model.

Just put a Bushnell Trophy Red-dot on and my BPS is drilled and tapped. First impressions is I like the red circle, turkeys head fits in it prefect at 40 yards.

I recently put a weaver shotgun scope on my Super 90. I was unsure of how to mount it. I narrowed it down to a saddle mount or a cantilever both made by B-Square. I called them to see if one offered any advantage over the other and the gentleman that I talked to said he thought I would be happier with the cantilever so that is what I got.
Long story short, I wish I would have saved my money and had the gun drilled and tapped. The cantilever mounted alright and seems to be solid but it does not allow the scope to be mounted far enough back to meet the eye relief parameters of the scope at all settings.
I will probably use it this season but I will most likely take it off afterwards.

Leupold 1x4 with leupold rings and base on my Browning Gold. I had to have it drilled and tapped. After shooting with a scope for the last 3 years, I'll never go back to open sights!

I have an old tasco mount that bolts in where the trigger assembly pins go on my 870. The mount came with a 2.5 X fixed tasco scope. I've had this for years, never had a problem with it. Just started turkey hunting with it last year tho, and the only change I Made was to put some camo tape on it since its shiny. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
