Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default can you believe it

i found a article in a turkey magazine, and probably you saw it.
a local Ontario, Canada, farmer recently reported finding a hen still sitting on her nest while he was harvesting soybeans in early october. the bird flushed two feet from the combine's head and flew through the reel, unscathed.the farmer returned to the site the next morning scaring the bird from the nest again, causing it to fly into the woods..a wildlife biologist from Ontario's Department of Wildlife went out that afternoon and took photos of a nest of five eggs. the biologist opened one of the eggs, which was discovered to be rotten. several frosts and 1 inch snowfall had made it into the area two weeks prior to the nest's discovery.

Default RE: can you believe it

Never heard of a hen nesting that late in the year. Maybe the eggs weren't fertile and she just didn't know to give it up.
