Do your self a favor and pick up the Rem extended super full turkey choke or the Remington Ventilator choke.

You can't go wrong with a gun from "Big Green". You might find that the factory choke doesnt shoot consistently. Try an after-market tube from the likes of M.A.D, Tru-Glo, Kick's, or Comp-N-Choke.

I agree with these guys. Get an extended super full turkey choke. I have an 870 express mag 3" and I have the remington super full ext. choke. It is really tight.

I have a Remington Express 870, 3 1/2" pump with an Advantage classic finish. I have had good success and patterns the past 2 years with a standard remington full choke, but just bought a Tru-glo StrutStopper, extra full choke for this season. I also just bought some gobble dot Tru-glo sights. I haven't shot it with this choke yet, but does anyone know about the density of the pattern? I want a extra full shot for the birds that hang out there 40 yards, but I dont want a pattern the size of an orange less than 20 yards. Anyone know how the 870/Tru-Glo choke combination works out? Or any other extra full chokes at different ranges? Thanks.

I have a 870 Express, 20 gauge, with a 21" barrel that will take 3" shells. I have taken most of my birds with it, and now the wife uses it. I have bigger guns, but I am not a big believer in "bigger is better".

Like other people said the gun is a great all around gun but you might want to look at an after market choke.

I have a Remington 870 Express 21 in. Barrel ,I got the Remington Ventilator Choke Tube and with winchester # 6 it shoots Very Good,But Different Guns Shoot different loads,So try some different shot sizes or brand of shells with your choke to see whitch shoots the best pattern.
