Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Venisonman i have a story for ya. About 7 years ago i bought my first turkey gun a NEF 10ga. My friend had a 835 Ultra Mag, he sent this gun off to a well known gun smith that did custom choke sleeves. Anyhow when he got the gun back after spending $150.00 all he did was ramp and rave about how great his gun shot and that my NEF 10ga was a poor mans turkey gun. Well i was going to go pattern my poor mans turkey gun and my buddy couldn't wait to go pattern his gun with me and show me up. We sat a 2ft by 4ft box up at 40 yards with a Primos turkey target on it. Naturally he had to shot first and his gun did ok at 40 yards i think he got like 10 or 12 hits in the vitals. Now it is my turn and i shoot well my pattern nocked the box over. We walked up to the target and i had like 15 to 18 hits in the vitals and ne never called my gun a poor mans turkey gun again. I like my NEF 10ga and take it with me every year. I have bought a few more turkey gun since then but my 10ga can hold it own against any gun.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Venisonman, be sure and pattern it with several different loads, I have one that shoots federal and winchester just great, but it will not shoot remington worth a flip.

Wildbill 835, Do you have a Wal-Mart in your area? The wal-mart in my area carries guns,The NEF is problely one of their better sellers,Or any Firearm Dealer Should be able to order one for you, If you want a catalog you can write to H&R 1871,LLc.60 Industrial Rowe,Gardner,Ma,01440 For a Free Catalog,It list all their Firearms,(H&R and NEF is the same) The 10 Gauge weight 9lbs, 24&quot; Barrel, length 40&quot; with screw in choke tube, Their 12 Gauge Weight 6lbs,24&quot; Barrel,Length 40&quot;,with screw in choke tubes plus it shoots the 3.1/2 shells. Prices depende's on where you go, I got my 10 Gauge 11 or 12 years ago when NEF 10 Gauge was the NWTF gun of the year , My is fully camo ,I paid 210.00 for it but some of the money went to NWTF,My 12 Gauge was 139.00 at my Local gun shop and my Daughter was 129.00
Moonge is right with the big 3 1/2, in either they KICK But when you pull that trigger on that Turkey you never feel it,I have both plus my Daughter has a youth 20 Gauge Turkey ,They all shoot good, with winchester #6, I also have a few of their Rifles there good shooters to,I have other guns but the NEF's are usually the one I grab when I go out, They may not be the prettiest or the shinest Gun on the market, but for the money they sure shoot GOOD.

PS. If you do have a wal-mart and they say they don't have them but they carry firearms, ask them if you can see their Firearm catalog, Some of the employes don't take the time or care to sell you a gun, Hope this help's

SingleShot.

Heres mine had the gun for about two years the guns taken a few birds and really reaches out there to touch them if need be.
I like the gun alot, I outfitted W/a Hastings .675 extended full turkey choke and Tasco Propoint3 red-dot scope also camoed it up with the fabric type camo tape. The gun weighs a little under 10Lbs.
