Default Tough question......

What are the 5 BIGGEST / MAIN reasons you like turkey hunting? I know most of us will have a lot more than 5 and they are all important, but I didn't want the posts to be too long.

Mine are:
1. Turkey hunting offers more time for me to be in the woods.
2. It is very challenging and demanding and ADDICTIVE.
3. True test of skills. Convincing an animal that I am an animal and getting a tom to do something totally unnatural.
4. You can hunt close with a buddy and build on the comeradery/friendship.
5. It is FUN, FUN, FUN. And did I happen to mention how much FUN it is?

I'm still fairly new at this, but am looking forward to your responses.

not only is it a reason to be in the woods....It's THE reason to get out there.
it is a challenge
it is time to spend out with friends and family
hearing a gobble first thing in the morning is the ultimate alarm clock
and it is just plain fun!!!
Well there.....I tried. There are probably other reasons but these are 5.

1. My son and I are learning it together. It brings us closer, easy to talk in the woods. This will be his second year hunting with me but, he's been going with me the four years I've hunted them.
2. It's a total Rush.
3. It's spring, everything is coming back to life.
4. The whole communicating with an animal thing blows my mind.
5. I'm addicted, and I don't want any help kicking the habit.

GB,

I love to be in the woods in the springtime. Everything is fresh & new.
The GOBBLE... I love to hear turkeys gobble. It is, along with an elks bugle the most awesome natual sound.
Seeing turkeys in their natural habitat
The Heart pounding thrill of calling them in.
Being out with friends, sharing the "outdoor experience"

Well I would have to say just being out in the woods in the spring is great.
Nothing in the world like hearing a tom gobble right back at your calls.
It is challenging.
Just watching a tom strut into range is a beautiful sight.
It tests your skills and sometimes your nerves, plus it is very fun!

I've got a spot to set up in that is just totally freakin' awesome to see when the sun comes up on a clear day. It's downgraded to terrific the rest of the days.
