Default Prices goin' up (making lots unhappy)!!!

To all of Ohio hunters of turkey and such if you haven't seen or heard, check out this link. I think what they are doing is ridiculous[:@]. The actual reason for the split season of buying 2 licenses a year for turkey & deer hunters, is because of Ohio fisherman getting mad because they only use their license for a half of they year, but pay the price close to the whole year license for hunting[]. Any opinions on what they are doing????

I don't live in Ohio , but it occurs to me that fishermen get far more time afield alloted to them than hunters ever will . What do your fishermen have to cry about ? If enough of your hunters complain to Ohio DNR they will change their minds .

PS: What link ?

If what you are complaining about is the increase in the cost of your license, then shame on you for your whining. The ODNR needs the money to maintain it's current staff. I have no problem shelling out an extra $4.00 to keep a CO's job in tact and I have been unemployed now since 7/02.

I'm not against the workers of the Ohio DNR, heck I hunt with one. But it is almost $45.00 just to get one deer or turkey? And the guy who I hunt with said that they don't get the money. Trust me, he has complained about the horrible pay and budget cuts to our county and state DNR. See what I mean?

Buy the Senior Annual hunting license for $10. It says and I quote. "*New in 2004. For people born on or after January 1, 1938."

A boo boo I'm sure[:-]
