Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Mossberg 500's

Does anyone else have this problem with there mossberg 500's mine shoots a tight pattern out to 50 yards but shoots very low. To get the shot were i want it i have to shoot about 1 in off the head of a turkey target.

What type of sight do you have on your gun? If all you have is the front bead, your eye may be too low on the stock. Your eye acts as the rear sight on a shotgun and can cause you to shoot high or low. I've found that recoil makes me want to hold everything tighter and I sometimes get down too far on the stock myself. You may want to look into getting a scope or some adjustable sights.

I was introduced to the 500's about 11 yrs ago and would not ttrade my slug combo for anything. I switched to a HiVis front bead and it does the job. checked it out and the first hunt was on KY's opening day of dove, it did wonders for allignment. It forces proper alligning to see just a beads instead of a dash. I have also been considering a red dot type of scope
