RE: Got my 2002 mount back
Thanks everyone for all the kind words.
Words can not begin to describe how much I miss ole Mike. He Not only showed me to the wonders of spring but he itruduced me to this fine forum, and all you fine folks. Adrian, concerning the recent loss of your friend, the pain will allways be there to some degree, but our lost loved ones and friends will always remain alive in our hearts and minds. There is no doubt that Mike was a very special guy. I only wish you folks could have known him as I did.
He was one cool dude.
Those spurs are 1 and 5/16th and 1 and 3/8th. I had that old Gobbler mounted as close to the way he looked when I pulled the trigger as I could. I wanted the wings tucked in a little further but oh well. That old Gobbler had the make on me and was a frogs hair from making a get away, when I droped the hammer on him.

What a beautiful bird!! Great hooks on him also. I hunted deer around Dallas from 1989 thru 1994 and did not think to turkey hunt. Wish I had while I was teaching in Barron. Some great pictures, but the memories will far outway the harvesting of the bird.

Say yankeehunter, I just checked your profile and discovered what a small world it really is. I graduated from barron in 92. You cought me chewing Copie in your class a couple of times and made me swallow it. LOL[8D] Actually one time it was Red Man I don't know witch was worse. As far as hunting around here the Turkey season didn't open up in our area untill 96 or 97. Good to hear from you. Take Care

Mr Jerry Zebro--I'd like to come back to Northwest Wisconsin and hunt in God's country. I remember you very well and would enjoy a hunt with you. From the looks of the bird, I could learn a great deal from you and it would be good catching up on old times. When is the spring season for gobblers?
