THANKS FOR THE LINK, I LEARNED HOW TO USE A TOPO WHEN I FIRST STARTED HUNTING, MY UNCLE WOULD DRIVE US AND HE WOULD ASK WHERE WE WERE AND I WOULD HAVE TO POINT IT OUT ON THE MAP.

I love Topo's. I used to buy and use the maps from USGS .Then I bought a GPS and realized what it could do with the "right" map. I purchased National Geographic Map software ,North East region. Now I have seamless, custom maps of anyplace I hunt.I interface waypoints from my GPS , plot old roads, different stands of mast, deer trails and rut sign ,turkey movement, old apple trees etc.. and load them onto my map software. The deer trails ,rubs and scrapes make quite a pattern on MY maps. A great investment , if you like maps!

I just ordered one from MYTOPO.com
They're kind of expensive at 14.95 each, but you get a 24 x 36 wax map. That's pretty large and covers a lot more area than other topos. I can't wait to get it and see how good it is. All of the sites mentioned are good, however. TerraServer, USGS, Topozone...they're all good.

I use terra server a lot. www.maptech.com is also a good site. I've also used them when considering buying hunting land. Let's me know if I'll need a boat to hunt it or not before wasting the time to take a look at it in person.

I printed maps off the net from TOPO and Terraserver, I really like Terraserver. I didn't care for the print quality (I've reached reading glasses age) that was one of the reasons I decided to spend $$ on a map program.
