Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Okay friends, just for fun.....If you could only take one call into the turkey woods with you, which one would it be and why? Be specific. Include type and name brand.

I'm going to say it would be my Knight & Hale Split V diaphragm call. I can yelp, cluck, and purr pretty well on it. It's high and raspy and I like the "hands free" operation limiting movement.

If I could take only one call with me to the turkey woods this coming spring, I would have to take my Osage Orange slate over glass call made by Harrison Game Calls of Tulsa, Oklahoma. It not only looks good, but it sounds awful sweet too!

My one go to call would be the H.S. Strut split V 4.I can make it sound like 3 different hens.Plus it keeps your hands free in case you need to pull a gobbler in a few more yards. I NEVER go in the woods without one.

Only one huh? Primos True Double stack frame. Great yelps and clucks and I'm slowly learning to purr on it.

I don't know if any of you have ever heard of Pat Strawser but his company called Team Hunter makes a great slate on bottom and glass on top slate call that does wonders for me

Mine has just this past year become a glass over slate call that is made by a little company here in PA called Team Hunter. I know the owner and he makes a couple great calls

Boy, tuff question for sure!! I do love my mouth calls, but I'd reach for my friction calls by M.A.D. or the Knight & Hale Sla-tek. The M.A.D. call is their Super Crystal with the purple heart stricker!! (That glass call just sounds great to my ears for the money!!!) And the Old yeller by Knight & Hale sounds great too for having a composite material on the calling surface. Either one of these would be my first choice.
