It's September. In the last 3 days I saw a hen with 4 poults maybe a few days old, they couldn't fly and a hen with slightly older poults as they could barely fly!

Certainly not going to mske the winter here in Wisconsin

It was a rough year for production. All that rain in June put the hurt on poults.

I have seen a few small poults recently. But, most of the poults that I have been seeing are quite large. As long as they survive our weird winter weather and the predators. If so it’s looking like a great year coming up..

Was a rough spring in Northern Vermont too. Not many poults due to record rain and a cool spring.
