Congrats on filling your South Dakota tag . I hunted the black hills near Spearfish a few years ago and got lucky too lol Pretty birds and awesome gobble !!

Thanks, It was beautiful country and you are right about the gobbles. Once I found a spot where there were birds they were pretty vocal. Really enjoyed seeing the mule deer and elk while hunting the birds also. Not something I get to view back in Oklahoma.

Congratulations on getting a nice bird. It’s been hard hunting up here as well and trying to put new shingles on my roof has been taking hunting time away. When I am off I hunt the mornings. That way the shingles can warm up a little. The birds are still staying quite. But I think that they will turn around yet.. The green stuff is just coming out now and that should help.
