Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Not sure what the best turkey gun is but I'll tell you this much... I've got a camo 870 pump w/ 26" barrel & bought an HS Strut Undertaker turkey choke. My max ethical range w/ that POS choke was pushing it at 30 about yds. w/ numerous turkey loads. I bought a Kicks Gobblin' Thunder a while back & my max ethical range increased to 50 yds.! I'm sure some guys would shoot further w/ the way it patterns but I like to keep it inside 30 anyway, but you never know... Point is, I believe your choke may have d*mn near as much as the shotgun to do w/ it.

99% of the time it's the lightest and the shortest one. With a sling or some one else to carry it.

Beyond that it's all guess work.

I usually add; "call them in close & shoot them in the head" _ LOL

Winchester 1300 Buck & Tom model. This will be the 11th season we've hunted together.

Benelli SBE 3 1/2 with a custom choke by ballistics specialties. When they roll over they are dead.

Best? Guess that is a personal choice all the way.

I presently still use a Winchester1300 NWTF Edition for the last 26 years now, still love this gun. Got it as a Xmas gift from my wife way back then. It's had some barrel work done, such as lengthening the forcing cone and porting work by "Pro-Port". I have also scoped it out with a Leupold 1x4 shotgun scope.

If the need ever rises down the road for a new "turkey" gun.
It would be the Winchester X3 semi-auto.
