New Wild Turkey Disease reducing numbers

I wanted to post this for new hunters and those hunters who have not heard of LPDV.
I found several articals on this disease being in several states and am just listing two 2015 articles.
Lymphoproliferative Disease Virus (LPDV), a tumor-forming virus that affects ground-feeding fowl, has made its way to the U.S. after years of its presence in domestic turkeys in Europe and Israel.

The disease is not necessarily fatal to turkeys, but if the lesions are severe, they can cause blindness in the animal and affect a bird’s ability to swallow. Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife photo
This is just one of the photos of a diseased turkey.. I just thought I would share it so others will be able to get some idea on what the can look like.. As stated though that some do not show any sign hardly.. Still safe to eat however and here at least the wildlife officials would like to know about it if you get one for a few samples to study on it..
