Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Peck Order Changes

I watched the turkeys in my area all week now. They mostly consisted of a dominant tom, a few younger toms and a few jakes, and many hens. I noticed the dominant tom has been the only one to stut with the exception of another not so big younger tom on one occasion. The hens would always accumulate wherever the dominant tom went.

Over the weekend, I took that dominant tom out.
What can I expect to happen with the peck order of this flock now?
Will the other toms/jakes become more aggressive toward other toms/jakes?
Will they come in to hen calls better now?
Will the hens go straight to the remaining toms/jakes and stick to them now?

I realize turkey hunting isn't an exact science and anything can happen. I just wanted to get anyone's opinion on what I can expect out of the flock now that the dominant tom is out of the picture. Thanks in advance.
