Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Congrats!! That is the way to get the season going.. How many birds are you allowed there?

My season opens in the morning here and I am hoping to get a bird.

This one would depend as well. As where I am going hunting at I have not seen any birds before 9:30.. But, on my way home from work this morning one of the fields had birds strutting at 5:30 this morning.. I guess it would depend on the area you are hunting in as to what the birds will be doing. It surely would not hurt anything to be out early and see what happens and perhaps being able to hear a gobble or 2 if nothing else. That would give you a better idea on where they are and may help plan a route for them to come by you..

I hope this helps you and good luck out there this year..

we are allowed 2 birds in the spring April 25th - may 31st (Tom or Jake) Has to be a bearded bird and 1 bird in the fall. (13 day season and any bird is in play). Works out nice when your fall deer bow hunting and can whack a turkey that may come by.
