Default Beginner turkey call

Any Recommendations for a first time turkey call. Box or push bottom?

Thanks in advance

My first call was a box call I had never had any turkey call of any kind till then and I found it to be easy to learn. But a push button call is proby easyer to use I don't like the sound it makes but I haven't used them all that much so take it for what it's worth good luck

I started with a Knight and Hale slate pot call. Do you have a buddy that can be a mentor to you? That would really shorten the learning curve.

Between box or push-button, box. But, for a first time call, I recommend a "slate" call like Power Crystal from Primos for example.

Eventually, you'll end up with a bunch of calls. One morning, one call will be "hot", then the next morining not. That's turkey hunting.

Have fun, and good luck. May you bust one bigger than your dreams.

Push pull then move onto a box or slate call.

Ditto on a good box call over a push call. Add a good friction pot call ... I prefer slate ... and you are pretty much set. Find a few You Tube demo's to use as training and you'll be good to go in no time.
