Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Ice fishing for me is thin crust followed by 2 ft of slush only to reach 20 inches of ice......not fun.

logancbeeman -- Where at in garrett county? We're in the same neck of the woods. I might be heading with a friend to Savage River forest during weekdays I'm not working, but most of my hunting will be in allegany county.

And I've been seeing a fair share of robins these past few days. Hoping this snow we're supposed to get doesn't chase them all away again.

That must be what had happened to them.. As they have not shown up in my neck of the woods yet.. On the bright side they might be starting their way up here.. We were supposed tom get snow last night and instead it rained!! It made the roads slippery but that was ok with me.. I want more rain and warm temps to come up here.. I hope the storm coming in our area this Thursday is rain as well.

im looking for a few guys in garrett/allegheny who wanna go on an archery sika hunt next bow season. wanted to try blackwater refuge. i think they are raising limit to two hinds but still just one stag. come back up with some prime meat for the women folk lol

lol saw a robin out my back window shaking its wings and seemingly shivering in todays snow. haha so i think they are just gonna have to stick it out. dont they come in from mexico?? i bet they are dissapointed.

Yeah, never hunted Savage before but found a spot that looks good for turkey. It'll be the first time I've hunted public land so half looking forward to it, half hoping no one else ruins it.

My father was down at Blackwater Refuge just yesterday checking out an area leased by a hunting club he was invited to join. He got to see a bunch of sika deer while he was there so it's probably a good area for them. I've never hunted sika, and I only just got my first bow a couple months back so I'm not quite up to archery hunting level with it yet.
