5's give me best pattern and penetration for lead... Im going to give the fed HW #7's a try this spring... ive been hearing to much about them not to try them out

I really like Hevi-13 straight 6's. I haven't tried Mag Blend yet since I have enough of the 6's as well as TSS to last me a few years but friends that shoot Mag Blend love it

Nitro Company Quadplex. 3.5" 12 gauge. #4,#5,#6 in Mega-Weight and #7's in Hevi-shot all mixed into one hot shooting shell.

I use 3.5" #4 turkey loads from Remington.
I shoot a Beretta Extrema (in camo, of course) with an extended extra full turkey choke.
Call them in close and shoot them in the head....................... dead bird !

Magnum Blend... Never seen anything more deadly

All depends I guess on what your choke/gun shoots best?
With Lead shot, I would go with #5's, more powerful than #6's at the longer distances, and better patterns than #4's. I would love to shoot #4's but never found a good choke that patterns them well at 40 yards?
With Heavy-shot, since the pellets are much denser than lead, you could go with a smaller sized shot. I would say #6 would be a good choice along with #5's.
I know that they make #7 sized shot, but it's mainly for filler in the Blended loads. If you keep the shots at 35 yards and under, they would work well, it's at the longer shots they might run out of steam?
